You need to be aware of your glycemic index. This is a procedure to keep an eye on how various foods affect your blood sugar level. Foods that show up low in this index have low effect on sugar level in the blood while those having high glycemic index greatly affect blood sugar level. Your doctor can advise you better how the glycemic index can help you choose a certain diet to control your blood sugar level.
